IGF-1 LR3 is a research peptide from Dragon Pharma, Europe. Its active substance is Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 in a form known as Long Arg3. Each vial holds 1 mg of powder, and the vial ships without a label.
IGF-1 is a hormone the body makes in response to growth hormone. The LR3 version was built to last longer in the body, which is the reason it shows up in so much muscle and recovery research.
Why Researchers Use IGF-1 LR3
Common angles in lab work include:
Muscle growth research - studied for its effect on muscle cell size.
Protein synthesis - examined for how it drives protein building in cells.
Nutrient uptake - tested for glucose and amino acid transport.
Recovery and repair - used in models of tissue rebuilding after stress.
Growth hormone studies - often run next to GH releasing peptides.
These are research findings only. IGF-1 LR3 is sold for laboratory work, not as a medicine.
What Makes LR3 Different From Standard IGF-1
Plain IGF-1 is cleared from the body in minutes. LR3 has a small change in its chain that blocks the binding proteins which normally switch it off. The result is a peptide that stays active much longer, which makes it easier to work with in a study.

How To Store IGF-1 LR3
IGF-1 LR3 is a fragile protein, so treat it with care. Keep the sealed vial cold and dry, away from light. Once mixed, store it in a fridge between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius and use it soon after. Do not shake the vial at any point, and do not leave it at room temperature for long.
Often Researched Together With
IGF-1 LR3 sits at the end of the growth hormone chain, so it is often studied next to the peptides that trigger that chain. Sermorelin 5mg and Ipamorelin both work on GH release, while CJC-1295 DAC 5mg covers the long acting side. You can compare all of them in our HGH and Insulin category.
Common Questions About IGF-1 LR3
Is IGF-1 LR3 the same as IGF-1? No. LR3 is a modified version with a longer life in the body. The base substance is still Insulin-like Growth Factor 1.
Do I need a prescription? No. You can buy IGF-1 LR3 without prescription from our shop.
Why does it ship without a label? Dragon Pharma sends this vial unlabeled to keep the parcel discreet.

Key facts
What it is
A modified version of IGF-1 that lasts longer in the body (half-life of about 20–30 hours)
Usual route
Injection under the skin (subcutaneous) or into the muscle (intramuscular)
Sports testing
WADA bans IGF-1 and its analogues at all times for tested athletes
Possible side effects
Low blood sugar, irritation at the injection spot, water retention
Do not use if
Pregnant, breastfeeding, with a history of cancer, or a tested athlete
For women
IGF-1 may affect hormone balance and the menstrual cycle; talk to a clinician before use

How the math works
1. Find the concentration
Divide the peptide in the vial by the water added. For example, 1 mg ÷ 1 mL = 1 mg/mL, which is 1,000 mcg/mL
2. Work out the volume
Divide the dose by the concentration. For example, 50 mcg ÷ 1,000 mcg/mL = 0.05 mL
3. Convert to units
On a U-100 syringe, multiply the mL by 100. For example, 0.05 mL = 5 units
4. Check the syringe
Make sure the amount fits the syringe you are using
Worked example
Vial
1 mg IGF-1 LR3
Water
1 mL bacteriostatic water
Dose
50 mcg
Syringe
100 units (1 mL)
Concentration
1 mg ÷ 1 mL = 1,000 mcg/mL
Amount to draw
50 mcg ÷ 1,000 mcg/mL = 0.05 mL, which is 5 units on a U-100 syringe

Reconstitution & Storage
Mixing a peptide takes about a minute. Keeping it good afterwards is the part most people get wrong, so follow the guide below and then store the vial the way we describe underneath it.
How to Reconstitute
Follow the five steps in the guide above. Bring the vial and the diluent to room temperature first, add the bacteriostatic water slowly down the inside wall so it does not foam and swirl gently until the powder is fully dissolved. Never shake the vial and never spray the bacteriostatic water straight onto the powder.
How to Store the Mixed Peptide
Once it is mixed, the vial goes back in the refrigerator at 2 to 8°C (35.6°F to 46.4°F) and stays there until you have used it. Write the mixing date on the vial so the clock is visible, not remembered.
Temperature: a normal fridge, 2 to 8°C (35.6°F to 46.4°F). Not the freezer, not a kitchen cupboard.
Shelf life: about 4 weeks. Past 28 days, discard it.
Light: keep it in the box or a dark drawer. Direct light degrades peptides.
Handling: swab the stopper before each draw, use a fresh needle and never shake the vial. Swirl gently if it needs mixing.
Freezing: do not freeze a mixed solution. Ice crystals and freeze-thaw cycles cut potency.
Dispose if: the liquid turns cloudy, changes colour, or shows visible particles.
Unmixed powder is far easier to store. Keep it dry, out of light, at room temperature for short periods or at -20°C for the long term and reconstitute only what you plan to use.
